Live sound engineering is one of pro audio’s fastest growing fields.  Through instruction and on-location “gigs,” our live sound students learn the many particular skills of this part of the audio industry including “front-of-house” and “monitor” mixing, speaker cabinet repair and construction, and simple-to-complex set-up and tear-down.  IAEA’s newest project, code-named “The Club,” is currently under construction.  When finished, it will be a fully functioning, multi-style music venue and the ultimate engineer training ground.  A full sound reinforcement system with front-of-house and monitor mixing stations, a premium multitrack recording control room, and a programmable stage lighting system will give students real world experience performing a variety of engineering duties.
